Role/Responsibilities
- Create Java based Spark jobs for data transformations and aggregations.
- Produce units tests for Spark transformations
- Implement data processing pipelines with Spark
Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Technical Skills
- Java with OOP/ functional programing paradigm
- A good understanding on:
- Relational and Non-relational models and DBMS
- ETL and ELT strategies
- Big Data and distributed processing systems
- Apache Spark 2.X and 3.X
- Spark Core
- Spark Streaming
- Spark SQL
- Spark MLlib (Plus)
- Spark query tuning and performance optimization
- Partitioning, Replication, CAP Theorem
- Data standards like Avro, Parquet, JSON
- Apache Kafka (Plus)
- Agile Development
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with Java and 1+ years’ experience with Apache Spark
